It's Time For Change

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We want you to feel healthy, empowered, successful, and most of all, growth. We want you to acquire new skills, strategies, knowledge, and to help you discover that you have the tools to unleash your unique gifts, strengths, and talents. We want to help you realize that you have what it takes to cope with life's many unexpected challenges.

Traditional Psychotherapy

Resilience and empowerment often require professional support to navigate life’s challenges. Setbacks, internal and external conflicts, and major transitions—such as personal growth, family changes, trauma, loss, mental health struggles, career stress, academic pressures, or substance abuse—can disrupt life’s flow. By actively listening and understanding individual experiences, we help uncover inner strengths and build resilience, fostering healing and growth through life’s unexpected challenges.

Reunification Psychotherapy

Reunification counseling helps bridge the gap between an estranged parent and their child. Divorce or relationship breakdowns can lead to children being caught in the middle, sometimes used by one parent to alienate the other. This dynamic can polarize relationships and may result in a child refusing contact with one parent.

While one parent’s disapproval of their ex-partner may be understandable, it’s rarely in a child’s best interest to sever ties with the other parent—unless genuine safety concerns exist. Reunification counseling addresses these challenges, fostering healthy communication and repairing relationships. The goal is to overcome family obstacles, ensuring children benefit from the positive involvement of both parents in their lives.

Anxiety Disorder

Feeling anxious is natural and can even be helpful, alerting us to danger or motivating action. However, anxiety disorders cause persistent, unhelpful anxiety that disrupts daily life, affecting thoughts, feelings, and behavior. These disorders are the most common mental health issue, affecting people of all ages. Triggers can include stressful events, perfectionist thinking, or learned coping habits, though sometimes no clear cause is identifiable.

Many people feel they should "get over it" alone, but anxiety disorders are real and impactful illnesses. Seeking help from a doctor is essential, as anxiety can also stem from physical health conditions. Proper support can lead to meaningful recovery.

Depression

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a proven approach to effectively manage life’s challenges. By practicing CBT techniques, individuals develop healthier mental habits that reduce symptoms, enhance well-being, and prevent relapse. The core principle of CBT is that thoughts, feelings, physical responses, and behaviors are interconnected. When distress arises—whether from depression, anxiety, substance abuse, or body image issues—it’s often due to a downward spiral among these factors.

CBT works to reverse this spiral, creating an upward path to better mental health. It’s a highly effective treatment for depression, improving thoughts, behaviors, and mood.

Teen Social Anxiety Group

The teenage years bring unique challenges for both teens and their parents. Teens face new pressures and may struggle to respond to problems in healthy ways. While some struggles—like navigating peer relationships, exploring new ideas, and managing changes in mood, identity, and interests—are a normal part of growing up, others may require additional support. Teen support groups offer a safe, non-judgmental space where teens can express themselves and gain valuable coping skills.

These groups provide a structured, supportive environment to help teens navigate their challenges and build resilience.
